Stephen Rotay, president and owner of Rotay Capital Finance in Lancaster, recently hosted Hollywood Comes To Lancaster, a local event with actors and producers of Inspiring Films. On Oct. 3, a reception and preview was held featuring the upcoming locally produced movie “Brave the Dark,” a film starring Jared Harris and directed by Damian Harris. The event was held at The Candy Factory at Warehouse D, 342 N. Queen St., Lancaster.
The picture will be produced by central Pennsylvania businessmen and filmmakers Grant Bradley, Dale Bradley, and Paul Griffin. Based on a true story about Stan Deen, who worked at Garden Spot High School, the story focuses on how Deen changed the life of a student.
The evening also featured an appearance by actress and producer Tracy Melchior, who appeared in “The Young and the Restless,” “Sunset Beach,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” and is the author of “Breaking the Perfect 10.” Melchior is a producer with the film company and spoke about the movie, which is finished shooting and is currently in post-production.
According to Rotay, the event featured clients of his firm and leaders of Inspiring Films. Rotay Capital Finance sponsored the event along with local partners J. Hilburn Men’s Wear and Sandler Training.
