Stephen Rotay, president and owner of Rotay Capital Finance in Lancaster has named new staff members at the growing company. As a longtime, local businessman, resident and community advocate, Rotay offers viable financing for small businesses as the core of the local, regional and national economy. According to Rotay, many small businesses are essentially financial orphans which don’t fit the lending standards of local banks or investment criteria of private equity or venture capital firms. Rotay’s new venture is thriving and requires the addition of professional team members.
Kelly Robertson has been named as the company’s Executive Administrator. She is responsible for serving as the central point of contact for field staff and customers. Robertson will oversee client communications, data collection, processing and ensuring compliance points are met along with customer updates and filing. She will also serve as executive assistant to Rotay with administrative and business development tasks such as conducting research, statistical reporting, event planning, office and file organization, among others. Robertson has more than 20 years of experience in corporate business and nonprofits while specializing in revenue management, customer relations, office and sales management along with administrative responsibilities, and fundraising. She also volunteers for Bridge of Hope in Lancaster where she assists families facing homelessness. Robertson resides in Lancaster with her husband, who is a city firefighter, and their children.
Scott Charney has been named as Funding Specialist for Rotay Capital Finance. He is responsible for business development and partner relations, providing comprehensive and flexible funding options for business. Charney will be focusing on commercial real estate loans, construction, manufacturing, hospitality and equipment financing, and leasing. He will also be helping businesses with working capital solutions, accounts receivable, purchase order financing, asset-based lending, and business acquisitions.
Charney is a U.S. Army veteran, having served as an Intelligence Analyst within the National Security Agency (NSA). He graduated from York College of Pennsylvania and has more than 30 years of experience building relationships and partnerships as a business development and brand strategy professional, including leading the development efforts of several marketing and advertising agencies in Central Pennsylvania.
Outside of work, he has invested his time with many community-based and not-for-profit organizations, serving as a volunteer and fundraiser, strategic consultant, youth coach, mentor, event coordinator, and promoter. Charney resides in Southwestern Lancaster County with his family and pets.
