Lancaster, Penn. – October 10, 2019 – Stephen Rotay, president and owner of Rotay Capital Finance in Lancaster, recently hosted a local event, Hollywood Comes To Lancaster, with star actors and producers of Inspiring Films. On October 3, a whiskey tasting and film clips preview was held featuring the upcoming and locally produced movie, Brave the Dark, a live action thriller starring Jared Harris and directed by Damian Harris.

The picture will be produced by Central Pennsylvania area businessmen and filmmakers Grant Bradley, Dale Bradley and Paul Griffin. The plot is based on a true story about Stan Dean, a kind man who worked at Garden Spot High School in the Eastern Lancaster County School District (Elanco). The story focuses on the real life of Dean who goes beyond being a good neighbor and helping a specific student as a mentor whose compassion and perseverance saved and changed a life at a moment of genuine value and service.

The evening also featured an appearance by actress and producer Tracy Melchior, a 20-plus-year star of Young and the Restless, Sunset Beach, Bold and the Beautiful, and the author of Breaking the Perfect 10. Melchior is a producer with the film company and spoke about the movie which is finished shooting and currently in post-production. The event was held at The Candy Factory at Warehouse D, 342 North Queen Street in Lancaster.

According to Rotay, the event featured key clients of his firm, and leaders of Inspiring Films, who are movie veterans with 30 years of experience and more than 50 theatrical films shot around the world.  “The principal partners launched Lancaster -based Inspiring Films to create media that, as Plato said, celebrates the ‘good, the noble, and the beautiful’. We were honored to sponsor the event along with local partners J. Hilburn Men’s Wear and Sandler Training,” said Rotay.
